Drag inside the black preview area to rotate the object from every side. Use the mouse wheel or a two-finger gesture to zoom within the same window.

The preview uses a dark viewport background, similar to a small lab-monitor window. During rotation, a warm outline appears around the model to make the silhouette easier to track.
